Certificate redemption

# Redeem coins

You return your RBCT to Real Blue Carbon and receive one real CO2 certificate per coin. Confirmation by email within 24 hours.

Only whole RBCT can be redeemed because certificates cannot be processed or retired in fractions. Unredeemed fractions remain in your wallet.

A separate 1% RBCT fee applies in addition to the whole redemption amount. At 1.2 RBCT, redeeming 1 RBCT leaves 0.19 RBCT after the 0.01 fee; the 0.2 fraction is not redeemed as a certificate.

How redemption works

1. Connect your wallet and enter your details.
2. Check the fee and total before submitting.
3. Return the coins to Real Blue Carbon in one transaction.
4. The transfer is verified on the blockchain; only then is the request marked as paid.
5. Certificate numbers are assigned and sent by email within 24 hours.

##### Coins are not burned

Your RBCT are not destroyed but returned to Real Blue Carbon. The real certificate is removed from the register on completion.
